Maybe you actually believe that there exists some True Conservatism that has genuine principles and is not founded on cruelty and bigotry, but if this exists it’s certainly well concealed.

I think there are conservatives who do better jobs of masking their cruelty and bigotry than Shapiro and Alex Jones do but it always turns out that once away from the microphones they’re every bit as bad. Patrician Wm. F. Buckley was a foul-mouthed bigot in private.
