You do marketing. I do software. Software used to be a joy, now I think I would rather be chained to an oar in a Roman galley. When Microsoft made me do this horrid thing called pair programming I quit the next day; I did take one more onsite job for fifteen months but shortly after than ended I moved out of the country and now I only work from home.

I hate being interrupted in my work, and software companies follow fads every single one of which requires constant interruptions.

No commute, my own hours, one meeting per week and that over Skype. I wouldn’t go back if I could.
