Thousand line classes?

At Midisoft the CXO wrote 2000 line functions. A piece of UI code would be setting bits down in a driver. There were returns everywhere. He was obsessed with low-level optimization and believed that breaking out functions would impair performance.

Complete moron.

Only reason the product got released at all was that he got busy on some other project and without his interference I tracked down the bugs and cleaned up a lot of code.
