Thirty years ago we were much more productive. We were left uninterrupted and allowed to concentrate. Developers who can concentrate do better work and more of it and with fewer bugs.
Scrum = meetings and layers of process. These are interruptions.

This is what worked in the past but for some reason to return to what worked in the past never seems to cross anyone's mind.
Dump agile and scrum, have one recurring meeting per week, do status updates in email, eliminate interruptions, and watch your productivity soar.
I know what I'm talking about. Scrum is bullshit.
