No. We were a distributed team, one in Ukraine, me in Vietnam, the rest in India. The wrong-syllable accenting is a tell. It's the reason so many people get mad at Indian accents on tech support. None of the others did that and none of the others hijacked our machines with a screen share every time they spoke. All the others were soft-spoke, polite, and could follow the conversation.

This article started as a rant because I needed some catharsis and I am rather shocked at how many views it's had. This guy made me mad, he did terrible work but thought he knew it all.

I've engaged some Vietnamese for testing and graphics and they all did fine work, often surprising me with their initiative. L was opposite, not only doing the least he could get away with but aggressive about it.
