My favorites are those who do a barely good enough job to claim it complete. Their code is unreadable, they use mid-function returns, in C# they declare everything as var, they don’t check for failure.
Their communication is serial buzzwords and that hideous business-speak (“moving forward”), they don’t read documents. No fad is too goofy for them. Excellence Is a foreign concept.
If they’re foreign their English has plateaued at barely comprehensible and they do nothing to make it better. They debug in the Chrome conSOLE.
And since we now have “masters” and managers who have never coded we cannot say anything about the shoddiness of their work without being seen as troublemakers. Shit work is just a difference in “personal style.”
