I was never a fan of Steve Jobs but years later I saw his speech introducing the iPad and I had to admit that everything he said had turned out to be true. I have six iPads now, two iTouches, four other assorted iPods. Many of the connected ones no longer work with some routers but I use them as music players.
All the iPads have cases with built-in Bluetooth keyboards so they are almost laptops.
Anyway I mentioned I bought two, the other was for my partner who was in Vietnam at the time, I was on my way here to deliver it and oversee my home construction and using my iPad on the plane … THREE people tried to buy it from me.
There is a lot I don’t Like about Apple. I’ve written software for iPhones and their store is nothing short of tyrannical. Their factories need suicide prevention for despondent workers.
But since that first day in the parking lot the only days I have not used iPads were when I was in Vietnamese hospitals where theft was a certainty. I’m on a 12.9” Pro right now.
