I teach English in Vietnam and the books are loaded with mistakes. And these come from nominally authoritative sources. I see “poisonous snake” all the time and tell my students about “venomous.”
I am aghast at the adoption of “queer” to mean gay or homosexual; aside from its history as a vicious slur the primary meaning of defective or wrong should not be adopted with any nonchalance.
The fact that yes language does evolve is being abused to cover uses that are indisputably mistakes. The word “unique” means singular, existing in a single instance e.g. some coins that were only minted as proposed designs; the word is now used to mean “distinctive.” You might add that to your list.
