I remember "PMs," program managers, going farther than anyone to make the daily scrum a tiresome bore.
They did pretty much no work, played Facebook games all day, but at the meetings they were always perky and made a big show of using Agile Newspeak ("stories") at every opportunity. I hated that word, and I hate "refactor" and "technical debt" and all the rest.
My project was solo so the morning meeting was the only part of it I had to do but if I ever had to attend a "sprint retrospective"

.. I'd have gone right out of my mind.
