I never send resumes. I've taught career management and I know that most advertised jobs get hundreds or thousands of applicants, it's not feasible to read them all, so 90+% are thrown out on superficialities; the reader prefers a cetain layout, mine is different, deleted,

And I absolutely hate those "we have decided to *move forward* with other candidates." That perky corpspeak is simply intolerable and I wouldn't like to work for someone who used that or "reaching out" or any of these Happy New Phrases.

I get work by taking part in technical discussions on LinkedIn; managers read my answers and THEY contact ME to ask if I am available for work. So I don't have to grovel.
