Here's an idea.
DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME
Don't do a half-assed job on the code because some Uncle Bob told you that unit tests are more important.
Don't leave work unfinished; tell your manager to cancel 3/4 of the recurring meetings so you have time to do your work.
And stop with the "technical debt" and the "stories" and the "refactoring" and speak in plain, clear English.
