Daily Scrum turned my 30 minute commute into a 90 minute commute so I could listen to
1) developers intoning wearily that they were working on the same thing they’d been working on yesterday
2) program managers who in reality played games on Facebook all day spraying their new buzzwords like “stories” in a show of sounding engaged.
For this I drove an extra two hours a day for no pay.
XP brought in all the procedural manure that gives a few mediocrities a “master” in their new titles. More meetings, too. Remember getting work done? Yeah I go back.
Pair programming gave me PTSD. I will never work in an office again. Strictly remote.
