All L cared about was clearing his task list. He was the only member of the group who emailed his commits to everyone, like I gave a shit, I review every commit on a project in GitKraken so I saw all his work and all of it was as I described, just barely good enough.
Seeing those HTTP status codes changed made me boiling mad. This was a SECURITY project; my crypto was the most strict I have ever written. And along comes this idiot who was not only mediocre but aggressively, adamantly mediocre. When he saw my legible code it seemed to offend him and he started to reformat it into industry-standard clutter.
One time I wrote pages to him about the branches, explaining in patient detail what was wrong; two “master” branches on one project. If he even read it, I could see no indication; his response was two lines copy-pasted from the Git docs, completely irrelevant to the topic. He thought he knew it all.
And decent dev lead would have terminated him within a week.
Reminds me why I prefer to work alone.
